Bypass Ulaanbaatar city and get straight into the two-wheel adventure of a lifetime in Terelj National Park, only ~ 100km from the airport.

CYCLE THE Chuluut vallEY
Beginning and ending in Ulaanbaatar, this tour will take you on an incredible cycling adventure covering 270 kms across five days through lush river valleys and mountain passes, across wide open steppe, and into the stunning canyon country of Central Mongolia.
Along the way you’ll have the chance to ride Bactrian camels, climb a volcano, and explore a historic Buddhist monastery.
Rest assured, there will be plenty of time set aside throughout for relaxation too, including two visits to local hot springs!

Fairfield Guesthouse helped us so much both leading up to and during our trip to Mongolia. We were in contact with the owner for almost a whole year (!) with all sorts of questions and we appreciated the immense insight and services he and his staff were able to provide.
We ended up booking a 5-day, private 2-person Gobi tour via Fairfield and also used them as a home-base for 4 days of bikepacking in the Arkhangai region. This trip truly wouldn't have been possible without Fairfield!

We used Fairfield as a home base for a 10 day bikepacking tour of the Arkhangai province. The accommodations are solid, showers hot, and food is amazing. We mixed it up staying in the rooms before we left and the Ger on the way back, which is totally fun.
The really special part of Fairfield is their expertise and help. Batsaikhan was so good, handling everything from UB and back and dealing with a day delay due to lost bags. He also was a great in town host, suggesting, but not pushing things to do, and lined up a quick drive to see horse racing and great seats for the final Nadaam wrestling match.
Cyclists, great storage here of bags and bikes always felt safe. Overall wonderful experience, would highly recommend.

Fairfield is a great place to stay. We felt ourselves to be blessed to stay in such a nice guesthouse where we could enjoy the comforts we are used to here in Australia. The food was awesome. So good to have a great selection of local plus Western style meals. Lovely, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
