EXPLORE ARKHANGAI
FAIRFIELD NAADAM AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL
July 1st, 2026
DON'T JUST SEE A NAADAM FESTIVAL - STEP OUT OF THE AUDIENCE AND INTO THE ARENA!
When you visit Mongolia, the legendary Naadam Festival—the festival of the "Three Manly Sports"—is a must-see. While the main provincial events (like the spectacular one here in Arkhangai on July 10th and 11th) offer a grand scale, Fairfield offers a truly different experience: one where you are the participant.
Your Day of Hands-On Mongolian Glory
Forget the distant stadium seats. Our exclusive Private Naadam and Cultural Day strips away the crowds and invites you to actively join the action.
-
Wrestle Like a Champion: Watch professional Mongolian wrestlers demonstrate their power and technique. Then, it's your turn! Put on the traditional Zodog (jacket) and feel the thrill of the ancient sport as you are personally instructed by a professional.
-
Shoot with an Archer: Go beyond simple observation. A skilled Mongolian archer will train you on the form and tradition, allowing you to shoot your own arrows and challenge your companions to a friendly competition.
-
Witness Up-Close Horsemanship: Experience the incredible bond between the Mongolian nomad and the horse with demonstrations held right up close, giving you a personal view of this essential cultural skill.
Feast Like a Local
No cultural day is complete without authentic cuisine. Your hosts will treat you to a traditional feast featuring:
-
The famous Mongolian Khorkhog (a nomadic barbecue cooked with hot stones).
-
Khuushuur: The essential, delicious fried meat pastry that is the official, must-have snack of the Naadam Festival (often called Naadam's fast food!).
-
The essential cultural drink, Airag (fermented mare's milk).
-
Aaruul: Sample the various shapes and flavors of Mongolian dried curd products, a nutritional staple that has sustained nomads for centuries.
This is more than a tour; it's a genuine immersion. You won't just see amazing Mongolian culture—you will be an active part of it.
Experience the thrill, taste the tradition, and make your Naadam story an unforgettable one. Get out of the audience, and into the action with Fairfield!
